There once was a little girl who loved colors and textures, all things vintage, designing and making things. At age 7, her Gramms {whom she greatly loved and admired} taught her how to sew. And knit. And crotchet.
The little girl continued to design and make and sew. From doll clothes, to {lotza'} sock bunnies to later designing and making her prom dress.
One day the {now grown up} girl met a boy. They fell in love, got married and began their journey together. This journey eventually led to include a dog, a baby boy, a little girl, and a cat.
Once baby boy arrived, the girl {now a Mama} decided there was not enough cute/practical stuff for him out there. So, she began creating for him. Friends liked it & then other people liked it...SO a business was born!
As baby boy grew into a little boy, the now Mama began expanding her making and sewing to include accessories. Always loving her morning {and afternoon...} coffee, the Coffee Cuff was designed and added to the shop! Then she inherited some old vintage dictionaries....and she decided to make pendants with them. Then a little girl {through adoption} joined the crew and the Mama's heart for orphans grew. Now, Chirp Handmade donates a percentage of sales to different non-profits that also have a huge heart for orphans.
And the designing and making continues on as this {creating between the laundry and carpooling children about} Mama is, as always, influenced by her love of color and repurposeing into what has become Chirp Handmade: Vintage, modern and whimsical handmade items.
